Visually, appearance is exceptional for a book of it's age,and even internally, the book is also in an exceptional condition/state of preservation and presentation. It is only the faults described that prevent a higher grading. Despite them,it really is an exceptional copy for completeness, brightness and cleanliness. Described scrupulously and honestly, first reading sounds horrendous, but these faults are small in appearance and at first glance, first impression would be of how well the book presents itself, until a detailed and closer inspection finds the small list of faults.
